Bluey's Big Play Berkeley reviews
Royal Philharmonic was mind blowing!
I had no idea how great Bluey's Big Play In Concert would be, but I expected that it would be great! I knew there would be a live orchestra, but I didn't realize there would be a 100 member choir! And I didn't realize it would be 86 musicians! And I didn't realize they would all actually be from the Royal Philharmonic!!! Couple the fantastic sound of the live musicians and singers with the digitally mixed live sound amplification, subtle but effective use of laser lighting, a wonderful film edit of all the Star Wars films projected above perfectly in synch with the live music, and the charming Anthony Daniels as our very own story teller? Incredible. The stars here more than the films themselves were John William's exhilarating compositions, the conductor, the orchestra, and the storyteller (Anthony Daniels). An encore was generously offered by the conductor and the playful Mr. Daniels. The audience was enthralled and lept to their feet at the finale. This one is not to be missed. I loved every single minute of this spectacular evening!
